We are very excited to have concrete in our garage now!  This part of the "house" has been a challenge for some we are working on getting it to be a bit of pleasant. :)  Concrete...first stage...more to come on this...

Messy Monday

I just love getting a glimpse into peoples lives and blogging is a wonderful way to do that...but I find that most blogs are put your best foot forward...and as that is great to get to see the highlights of peoples lives, it is just as great to see the not so pretty.  Sometimes it's just as encouraging to see the "messy" of other families lives.  So I hope as I share our life with you, mostly hitting the highlights, you will enjoy the messy right along with it.

one random picture of reality on a Monday...

I would like to invite friends to take part in sharing a photo shot of some piece of crazy in their homes on Messy Monday...because as most know our homes can be crazy at times...but...on Monday for us at least, they can be a little crazier! ;)
So...leave a link to your Messy Monday in the comments and don't forget to leave a link back to Country Blessings!

As I sat today through family devotions I was just taken aback at how blessed I am on this mother's day.   I think of how I feel like I should be treated special for being a mom, and while there is nothing wrong with that.  I was convicted that I have already been treated special everyday by waking each morning with my wonderful 7.

We were talking of Grace this morning and it's meaning.  “Grace” The exercise of love, kindness, mercy, favor; disposition to benefit or serve another; favor bestowed or privilege conferred.

I don't deserve these blessings in the name of children.  He has shown lovingkindness to me by giving me 7 wonderful blessings on earth and one in Heaven!  I choose to lay my life down for Him and this is the life He choose for me.  I consider it a great reward...

I am Honored...I am Blessed!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Days of reality...

I thought today as I was looking over my blog along with others, that it's a funny thing, how we always try to put our best foot forward.  Some days really are all put together and great, but as every person who has a home (lived in) and children lot's of days are...well...Not.  So I thought I would share periodically some "Days of reality"

piles of laundry to fold
messy kitchen
shoes in front of the door
messy bedroom
messy bookshelf
messy clothes crates
groceries everywhere
putting bananas up to freeze
had to throw in cute baby drinking kefir smoothie
